Intensive Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has intensified strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while officials has requested "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and more than 30 missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were hurt.

The strikes follow evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
