I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
